Clowns are everywhere this year. They are stalking and threatening anyone that comes in their way. These past few days clowns have become unusually popular all over the United States making us terrified for our lives.

Clowns have been wandering all over the east in the U.S bringing a lot of attention to the coast. Recently it has been spreading to other areas such as Arkansas. There have been a few Rogers High School students spotting clowns. Many take pictures of these clowns in various areas in Benton County.

Clowns are posting many threats on social media which is making the accounts have a big audience. A lot of people  are giving the accounts attention, is that even a great idea? The main question is why are people so focused on them?.

“I’m not really aware of clowns threatening students,” Biology teacher Leo Zechiedrich said. “I would ignore it. At some point the person that is doing this is wanting attention so you’re rewarding them by giving them attention.”

Many people have joked about the clown situation. Saying it is a hoax that no one should be taking it seriously. For laughs and giggles people think it is fine to dress as a clown, and prank anyone that comes in their way. Are they taking it too far? There are already cases of clowns murdering people these past few months.

“I don’t think you should joke about that. I mean yeah you can dress up as a clown, but terrorizing people and bringing out weapons that’s taking it way too far,” senior Katelyn Pitts said.

Halloween is supposably the day all clowns are going to come out of their caves, and attack people out in the streets. Parents are taking precautions finding ways to have a safe Halloween. Teens still might think it is a joke, and roam the streets to “clown hunt”.

“Nope I am staying in my house [on halloween night]” senior Lee Ann Kuhn said.

RHS students said there was a clown down by the bus area. It can not be certain if the captured  photo is real or not. Students are worried they could be attacked by the clown that was outside the school.

“Saw it walk into the woods and found the mask and knife in the trail,” Pitts said. “I do not think it is a joke there have been other states where they have actually killed people.”
Clowns are not to be messed with this year. All that can be said is be safe, do not leave places late at night, and if someone is out dressed like a clown all you can do is run or if in a car keep on driving.
