The elections are over and Donald J. Trump is president. He will start his term on Jan. 20, 2017. Protesters have been rioting about Trump being president. These riots started from peaceful marches to dangerous riots.

Many places such as Portland,Oregon have had many riots that have resulted in multiple arrests. Nov. 10, 2016 the people in Portland were having a peaceful march, but when the police arrived and people started vandalizing the city, and attacking officers. About 4,000 people at the scene were protesters. 26 protesters arrested that night.

Other places that had many protests or riots are Philadelphia, Denver, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Dallas, Baltimore, and Oakland.

Oakland, California had about 1,000 protesters, that graffitied, and threw M-80 firecrackers. 11 people were arrested for assaulting police officers.

Los Angeles, California had about 185 protesters. Majority got arrested Thursday night and Friday morning.

Many protesters have sent Trump death threats. Protesters chant Trump is “Not Our President”.

Rioters have been burning the U.S flag when they riot. Trump had to say something about the riots.

‘“And I say; ‘Stop it’, If it helps, I will say this, and I will say right to the cameras; ‘stop”’, said Trump.

Trump is wanting peace for this country. From peaceful marches to dangerous riots the election made a big impact to the country.
