Spring break and other breaks is the time where we can take a break from school. But, when teachers assign work to get done during the break, it does not seem like a break anymore.

As a student, I look forward to these breaks so that I can catch up on my sleep and enjoy my days off. During the break, I also get more chances to hangout with friends and family. I did not expect to worry about getting work done during the break.

There are teachers who assign work for their students to get done during the break. Honestly, students do not really want to worry about their work during their vacation, so teachers should not be assigning work during the break. Several students travel, and they are not going to want to take their work to the beach or wherever they go.

When we get back to school from the break, students always ask each other what they did. Several respond that they went out with family or friends, went on vacation, or even went on a mission trip. That all seems enjoyable, but when students respond that they did work over the break, it does not seem enjoyable at all.

Teachers think that assigning work over the break will give students an extended amount time to get their assignments done. But, really, students look forward to the breaks so they can enjoy their days off.

Students should not be given work over the breaks. If teachers plan out their lessons differently, students are able to enjoy their vacation without worrying about getting work done.
