Juniors should start preparing for senior year

Seniors are about to leave, and for juniors it is time to start preparing for your senior year.

It takes some preparation to begin senior year. Starting with the basics,you need to begin looking into colleges . It is okay not to know exactly which one you want to go to, however have a mind set on ones you like and research them more. By senior year you can figure out which ones you like the most, and start applying. You should also have lots of options so if one college doesn’t accept you, others will.  

You should also begin looking for scholarships and you can look on college websites to see what scholarships they have. You can even ask your counselor for more information on scholarships and on how to look and apply for one.

It is never too late to do services or some type of extracurricular activities. If you have not done much for the school or community it is not late to start. Many colleges look into what you provide for the community. It is not just about your GPA, ACT or SAT scores, they look at many different things. For juniors who have not started or have not made that much process you still have a few months before senior year starts.

Evaluate your education options. Start thinking on what you want to major in. What is that you want to do. To actually start the process before senior year take your time on figuring out what you would like to do in life. What path in education do you want to take.

Even though you will be a senior next year, it is still fine if you do not have a final answer down. Just relax and take the time you need.

Financial aid is important so you should look at your family’s financial resources. Aloso make sure to look at the school’s financial aid information, and what they offer.

Junior’s you still have a few more months before senior year kicks off. However; it is never too late to start preparing for the future.
