To bring some nostalgia into our lives, writers and directors are remaking some of our childhood favorites into live action or new motion pictures. The kid deep down in everyone will come out and we can forget about our problems for a couple of hours with a bucket of popcorn.

Some people are not super excited about these remakes because they feel that the movies do not depict the true storyline or feel of the classics you know and love, but it is up to you to watch them and decide if these remakes are any good.

Before we ring in the New year, two disney movies have already been released. Incredibles 2 was out in theatres early this summer and was a hit at the box office for being the second movie in the series. Mary Poppins Returns will be out on Dec 19, 2018. The Nanny that you always wish could babysit you is back with more songs and exciting adventures.

Not all remakes, producers decided to make or continue the series by adding sequels in the upcoming year 2019. Toy Story 4 and Frozen 2. If you don’t remember where these two movies left off in the previous one, especially Toy Story, Christmas break would be a good time to catch up on them and make your inner child happy.

Back to the OG classic Disney movies; Aladdin, Dumbo and The Lion King are also set to come out sometime in 2019. Even the older generations are excited for these movies and will get to take their teens or grandkids to see the classics they know and love. There is already a cast list out for the Lion King and some of the actors include Donald Glover, Beyonce, Seth Rogen, Eric Andre.

“The Lion King is my favorite Disney movie and I would love to see how they make the animals come to life and give them more personality.” Kalianna Robinson.

Turns out a lot of people are excited to see The Lion King.

“I am super excited for The Lion King to come out because I really liked the original and I want to see how the actors, especially Seth Rogen, take on the different characters.” Aaron Anderson.
